| http://koktebel.info/en/ Since 2003 Koktebel Jazz Festival has rapidly grown into the largest annual music event in Ukraine. Koktebel is a small resort town (2.500 people) on the Black Seashore, the village that had a very strong influence on russian culture in XX century. The KJF 2011 is scheduled for mid-September, with main "NU Jazzz" stage on the festival beach territory and a contemporary jazz and improvised music stage in Max Voloshyn museum garden. The festival audience consists of mostly large ukrainian cities residents (65%), tourists from Russia and Belorus (15%), local crimean habitants (20%). Average day ticket costs around 12 USD. Each year 150 - 200 musicians participate in the official line-up. Each year in the middle of September Koktebel Jazz inspires some 20.000 people to rush off their comfortable homes to share four days of sleepless joy.
