| Exquisite dress and cap couturier costume, fit for 23" (58 cm) antique french bebe doll, Jumeau,Steiner,Bru... The pictures doesn't do it justice....Modeled by bebe Jumeau size 10. Please verify measure with your doll. Made of marvelous antique materials, pure silk with ethereal texture in beautiful beige shade and remarkable antique ribbon embroidery work! Mostly hand-sewn with minuscule stitch. The Dress features low waistline. Fully lined in beige cotton linen. The gathered skirt has two layers underskirt or petticoat.The three layers (skirt and petticoats) edged with different valenciennes lace.The bodice adorned with horizontal and diagonal rows of silk trims.The waistline adorned with gathered sash and pure silk ribbon bows.The bodice and sleeves have antique pieces of ribbon embroidery, unique work fully made by hand: a lot of roses - tiny silk ribbons in light pink,rose and fuchsia colors- and leaves made of velveted chenille threads in moss green, olive , dark green and brown colours. Meticulous hand work with moss green, beige and brown rows of tiny ribbons. Please see details in the pictures. The back closure has 7 pairs of black metal hooks and eyes. Inside the bodice there is a secret pocket, a lovely hand crocheted beige piece.. The Cap adorned with 3 layers of beige lace, a lot of beige silk ribbons and bow and pure silk bow at the back. Decorated with millinery forget me nots: velvet petals in light greens,beige and carmine colors. The Dress measures 6,5” (16 cm) across shoulders seams, 14” (36 cm) shoulder to hemline, 15" ( 38 cm) around waist and 16” (40 cm) around the chest. The sleeves measures 7" from under arm to hemline and 8" from shoulder seam to hemline. The Cap measures 14,5” (37 cm) around the circumference of the band. Excellent condition except for a tiny hole on the bodice due to age. Unique and fabulous embroidery work. Extremely delicate beauty…Rare find!
