| The large Livadiya palace is a former summer residence of the last Russian emperor Nick II. It is a prominent monument of architectural art, one of main sights of Yalta. A palace in style of the Italian renaissance is built in 1911, on the project of the talented Yalta architect N.P. Krasnov. Livadiya estate became the favourite place of rest of emperor's family. Besides the Large palace, there are a svitskiy corps, palace of minister of court, palace church, Florentine and Arabic courts in Livadiya palace complex. Each of buildings successfully blended in a landscape, all of them attract with the elegant architecture. Particular interest is caused the White hall of palace, in which ther were meetings of the Crimean conference of chapters of governments of the USSR, USA and Great Britain passed in February, 1945. Round a palace there is a magnificent age-old park, stopped up in 30th of XIX c. |
