| In Overhead Massandra, there is one of the best architectural monuments of the South bank of Crimea, palace of emperor Alexandr III. He is built at the slopes of mountain ridge, in a solitary place, surrounded the forest. Palace in style of times of Lui XIII designed by the French architect Bushar. Three-storeyed building with by a great number decorative external details crowns pyramidal roof. Arrow-shaped completion of "fortress" towers, high fire-place pipes give a structure a tendency high into the air, and a palace seems easy, elegant, fairy-tale. A palace targeted at rest, therefore there are not rooms for receptions, main halls in it. Dwellings rooms are miniature, with the low ceilings and comfortable fire-places from the Crimean limestone. A park (an area is 6 hectares) and composition of palace created unique court-style-park band. Long time a palace was used as a state summer residence, and in 1990 was passed to the museum association "Palaces and parks of the South bank of Crimea" for renewal in him of interior-display of times of Alexandr III. |
